Russ Froese has more than 34 years of journalistic experience in radio and television, in Canada and abroad. He has been an investigative reporter for the dominant news radio station in western Canada, CKNW; a documentary producer and host for the national CBC news magazine program, The Journal; and 6 o’clock anchor and senior producer at Global Television Vancouver.
At Hoggan & Associates, Russ helps with crisis management and media training for corporate leaders, politicians, environmentalists and not-for-profit leaders.
Nancy has worked in public relations and media for more than 20 years, the past 10 with Hoggan and Associates. Nancy provides strategic counsel on communications planning, crisis and issues management, stakeholder relations and corporate communications. Nancy is actively involved in Hoggan’s sustainability practice and has led the company’s research initiatives to explore Canadians’ understanding and attitudes toward sustainability. Nancy has a passion for improving communications to bring about better understanding and positive action on sustainability and environmental challenges such as climate change.
Over the years, Nancy has worked with a wide range of Hoggan clients, including Shell, Metro Vancouver, BC Hydro, the University of British Columbia, Canadian Tire, Delta Land Development, the District of West Vancouver, the North West and Canada CruiseShip Association and North West and Ethical Investments, among others.
Nancy began her career in Montreal, working as an assistant producer of television current affairs and as a journalist for a weekly business newspaper. She left journalism to take a public affairs position with McGill University. After moving to Vancouver in 1992, she assumed senior communications positions with WIC (Western International Communications), at the time Canada’s largest private broadcaster, and then Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment, when it owned the Vancouver Canucks, the Grizzlies and General Motors Place.
Nancy is an accredited member of the Canadian Public Relations Society. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University and is pursuing a certificate in Simon Fraser University’s Dialogue program.
Nancy is on the board of directors of West Coast Environmental Law and for many years served on the Board of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and on the executive of the Parent Advisory Council and School Planning Council of her children’s school.
